The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a quality sustenance measure.
Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of the institution's system and work towards realisation of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.
The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution.
P.E.S. College of Engineering (PESCE), Mandya was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an 'A' Grade in 2024, with the accreditation valid up to 13 March 2029. As part of its commitment to sustaining and enhancing institutional quality following accreditation, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), established in 2018, continues to serve as a key institutional body dedicated to promoting excellence in higher education. As an integral part of the college, IQAC implements the recommendations of the NAAC Peer Team and fosters a culture of continuous quality improvement across all academic and administrative functions.
PESCE regularly organizes faculty development programmes, workshops, training sessions, and other quality enhancement initiatives for faculty members, administrative staff and members of quality circles. The institution has established a comprehensive mechanism for faculty performance assessment through self-appraisal and student feedback, enabling continuous improvement in teaching, learning, research and overall academic effectiveness. IQAC systematically monitors the maintenance of institutional records, reports and documentary evidence related to academic, administrative and co-curricular activities. It also oversees the augmentation, effective utilization and continuous improvement of infrastructural resources and other facilities to strengthen teaching, learning, research, innovation and institutional development.
Committed to transparency, accountability and excellence, IQAC plays a pivotal role in planning, coordinating and monitoring quality assurance initiatives across the institution. The IQAC Coordinator ensures the effective implementation of quality policies by facilitating active participation from all stakeholders. Through its sustained efforts, IQAC assures students, faculty, regulatory bodies, funding agencies and society at large of the institution's commitment to maintaining a robust quality management system and achieving excellence in technical education in alignment with the vision and mission of the college.

The AQAR shall be approved by the statutory bodies of the HEIs (such as Syndicate, Governing Council/Board) for the follow up action for necessary quality enhancement measures. The Higher Education Institutions (HEI) shall submit the AQAR regularly to NAAC.
