NSS has always stood up to its strong spirit of serving people keeping in mind the policy of "Not Me But You". The belief that we must live for others, is being realized through the selfless service of the NSS volunteers who get into timely action for the upliftment of the needy people of their respective localities.
NSS units of the PESCE has always given the volunteers, a platform to serve the society and bring happiness and smiles on many faces, which has sown the seeds of social commitment in many students who are otherwise kept aloof from the real challenges and torments faced by the masses in the society as a whole. NSS by its range of community service initiatives has triggered a change in the personality and attitude of the volunteers. So it is not simply an association; it’s a platform to achieve the overall abilities of every individual enrolled in the scheme.
The service rendered by NSS are varied in nature: Health, Education, Activity point programme, Community and Physical services. Regular Activities and Special Camping Programmes are the highlights of NSS activities of the college.
Mass programme for Socio Economic Survey, Nature Study tour, General orientation and Special orientation programmes, Agriculture and Organic farming are such activities.

Equitable access to safe and effective vaccines is critical to ending the COVID-19 pandemic, In this aspect P.E.S College Of Engineering Mandya came up with a Pioneering Initiative to organize a Covid-19 Vaccination drive to the staffs and students of P.E.S College of Engineering.
The event was jointly organized NSS unit of PESCE Mandya, Youth Red Cross Wing of PESCE and ISTE Chapter(S) in collaboration with District Health and Family welfare Mandya, the event was officially flagged off on 24th June 2021 at 10:30 AM in Dr. H.D Chowdaiah Auditorium with an intention of vaccinating Staffs of PES College in the first stage. President PET(R) Sri K. S. Vijay Anand inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp in the presence of chief guests Secretary PET(R) Sri S. L. ShivaPrasad and RCHO Dr M C Somashekar who were accompanied with Principal P.E.S.C.E Dr R.M Mahalinge Gowda, Dr Shashidhar Basavaraj, Sri J. Sheshappa AAO, Dr. B S . Shivakumar Chariman ISTE, Dr. Revanesh M. NSS Officer, Sri M. A. VenuGopal SWO, Dr.H.M Sanjay Head Alumni affairs, Dr. B Shanmukha, Dr.M.N.Veena and other Faculty members of PESCE.
YUVAAH – Utsah Naye Bharat Ka
The program began by an invocation song which was sung by Sri. Gautham (student NSS volunteer) from 5th sem ECE Department. Dr Revanesh M NSS Unit Programme Officer welcomed the audience and the chief guest for the event, he also welcomed all the teaching and non-teaching staffs of PESCE, media people and also the students. He also highlighted how swami Vivekananda always focused on harnessing the potential of youth and how his incredible understanding and knowledge of philosophy, religion, literature, Vedas, Puranas, Upanishads helped him to encourage and motivate the young generation to achieve anything they desire.
The Chief Guest and the dignitaries from the college joined together to inaugurate the event by lighting the lamp and showering the flowers to the idol of Swami Vivekananda.
As we know the present pandemic situation has disturbed the lives of many hard working group of people around us and has a serious effect on health conditions of many more. Observing the fast spread of covid-19 and immediate measures by Govt of India such as lock down to curb the fast spread low level income class people’s lives has been widely impacted. The resultant problems of lockdown in phases are amplified even in and around Mandya, because of the low level of incomes due to limited livelihood opportunities, nutritional and health related vulnerabilities are effected on serious note. The lockdown and the fear of contamination have severely impacted livelihoods opportunities for the poorest, pushing them to the brink of starvation. In this regard being a pioneer to serve at various levels P.E.S College of Engineering Mandya has decided to make sure that people who have low level of income in their working community will be served a decent grocery to support the need of the hour.
In this regard all the security Guards of PESCE campus along with people involved in scavenge work were identified and Grocery kits were distributed to these people on the occasion of Independence day 2020. The event officially started by flag hosting on 15th August 2020 at 7 AM, Principal PESCE Dr H.V Ravindra rendered his speech on the occasion of Independence Day and motivated the staffs of PESCE to help people in need and highlighted the fact that India can only become free when we educated class become aware and enthusiastically involve in helping the people in need.
The Department of Civil Engineering of PES College of Engineering (PESCE) in association with i) State Bank of India, Mandya Regional branch, KGL & VV Nagar Branch, ii) Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), Mandya, iii) ISTE Chapter, iv) National Service Scheme (NSS) and v) Youth Red Cross of PESCE, Mandya organized an awareness programme on behalf of World Environment Day – 2022 on 07th of June 2022 at PESCE Mandya.
Clean India campaign or Swachh Bharat campaign is a country-wide campaign initiated by the Government of India in 2014 to eliminate open defecation and improve solid waste management.
The student of P.E.S engineering college, Mandya in association with National Service Scheme(NSS) Wing, PESCE, Mandya organized clean India campaign on 22.10.2022 in Sathnur, Mandya district in order to commemorate the birth day of Mahatma Gandhi.
The main agenda of this clean India campaign is to create awareness among the society and to make the place plastic free. The Main attraction of the program was the Students and Faculties taking part in Jatha to create an awareness about Protecting Environment among the public of Sathnur village about the ill effects of single use plastic. In this regard, Walking Jatha was organised with the active participation of NSS Volunteers from all the Strems of UG and PG programmes from the institution.
To Start with, the function was presided and formally inaugurated by Dr. R M Mahalinge Gowda, Principal, PESCE and faculties of various departments. After the inauguration, the NSS wing volunteers boarded the college cab and visited different places earmarked earlier for the clean India campaign at sathnur village.
